Malaysia-based investment company VentureTech Sdn Bhd has invested in Tymba Education Group, an education technology firm specialising in professional accountancy and finance qualifications. VentureTech is a government-linked investment company mandated to develop high-growth Bumiputera enterprises, while Tymba operates a digital and hybrid learning platform serving working professionals.

Coverage by Bernama TV reports that the investment is intended to scale Tymba’s proprietary learning management system, TymbaFlex, and support the company’s regional expansion across ASEAN markets.

Both companies said the funding will strengthen operational capacity while accelerating market entry beyond Malaysia, responding to growing demand for flexible, technology-enabled professional qualifications.

According to a joint statement, the investment will support the evolution of TymbaFlex into an integrated learning experience incorporating artificial intelligence-powered tutoring, advanced analytics and automated mastery-based progression.

These capabilities are designed to improve learner outcomes while maintaining affordability and accessibility.

“Delivered through a hybrid learning model that combines digital instruction with guided support, the platform enables learners to pursue internationally recognised qualifications while balancing professional commitments at a more accessible cost,” the companies said.

The investment aligns with Malaysia’s Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035, positioning technology-enabled learning as a lever for widening participation in professional and knowledge-based sectors. The collaboration also supports national priorities around human capital development and lifelong learning.

VentureTech Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Redzuan Sidek said the funding is aimed at scaling access to professional education through technology.

“By supporting TymbaFlex and the company’s regional growth, VentureTech aims to make globally recognised qualifications more affordable and accessible, support lifelong learning journeys, and strengthen Bumiputera representation in high-value professions,” he said.
