Logistics UK has announced the consolidation of its Training Team brand into its main logistics training platform, effective 1 September 2026; this is an internal brand integration, not a transaction, and no deal consideration or counterparty arises.

Logistics UK is the trading name of Freight Transport Association Limited (Companies House no. 391957), a private limited company by guarantee headquartered in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, founded in 1944, representing over 20,000 member organisations across road, rail, water and air logistics, collectively employing more than seven million people.

Turnover and EBITDA are not separately disclosed in publicly available filings. Training Team, acquired in 2017, has operated as a standalone brand delivering multi-modal dangerous goods and aviation security training through separate websites. From 1 September, all Training Team courses will be delivered through a single platform. Advisors: none mentioned.

The structural driver is a compliance complexity trend accelerating across UK logistics. Members now navigate overlapping frameworks across road (ADR), air (IATA DGR), sea (IMDG) and combined transport modes, alongside aviation security requirements under the UK's post-Brexit National Aviation Security Programme, which diverged from EU EASP regulations after 2021.

Maintaining separate training portals for each regulatory stream creates friction at exactly the point where operator compliance windows are tightest, typically in the days before a consignment moves. A unified platform allowing a single account holder to book, pay and access certificates across all modes is a material operational improvement.

The timing is also competitive. The UK logistics training market is consolidating around a small number of accredited providers with the digital infrastructure to serve multi-modal operators at scale. Competitors including RoSPA and specialist dangerous goods providers have been upgrading their platforms; Logistics UK's integration removes the disadvantage of a fragmented multi-site approach while preserving Training Team's existing customer base and accreditations under a stronger brand umbrella.

For Ireland, Logistics UK's platform is directly accessible to Irish operators running UK-routed supply chains, particularly those moving dangerous goods on the Dublin–Holyhead and Rosslare–Pembroke corridors under ADR and IMDG frameworks. A single consolidated booking platform reduces administrative friction for Irish logistics managers managing cross-border compliance obligations.

This is infrastructure rationalisation with real operational value for multi-modal operators, the brand change is the least significant element.
