EHS International, a leading environmental, health, and safety provider with offices in Cork, Dublin, Belfast, and London, has launched new certified training courses in construction safety.
Derry Cronin, Group Business Operations Director at EHS International, said, “Project supervisors play a central role in keeping people safe and projects on track. These courses provide the practical knowledge and real-world context professionals need to meet their legal responsibilities with confidence.”
The two-day Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) course prepares participants to coordinate health and safety during the design phase of construction projects. Cronin emphasised, “Participants gain hands-on skills to proactively manage safety risks before work begins, ensuring compliance and reducing hazards onsite.”
The Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) course equips professionals to manage safety on active construction sites. Cronin added, “This course helps supervisors implement safety protocols effectively while maintaining project timelines and regulatory compliance.” Both courses are fully accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the world’s largest chartered body for health and safety professionals.
Courses are delivered in-person in Cork and Dublin or via live instructor-led webinars, providing flexible learning options. Cronin noted, “We have designed the courses to suit different learning preferences, whether professionals prefer classroom settings or remote participation, while maintaining practical and up-to-date content aligned with industry best practices.”
The training covers both legal compliance under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and actionable strategies that supervisors can implement immediately. By combining real-world examples with structured learning, EHS International aims to strengthen safety cultures across construction sites in Ireland and the UK.
Cronin concluded, “Our mission is to give supervisors the confidence and competence to manage safety effectively, protecting both people and projects.”
