Université Privée de Fès (UPF) has unveiled the American International Institute (AII), a pioneering partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) and Cintana Education, making it the first institution in Morocco to offer American-accredited double degrees.

The launch, celebrated over two days in Fez and Rabat, signals a new era of collaboration in Moroccan higher education. The AII will grant students dual bachelor’s and master’s degrees—one from UPF and one from ASU, which has been ranked the most innovative university in the United States for a decade by U.S. News & World Report.

Courses will be taught in English and follow ASU’s globally recognised curriculum, designed to meet international industry standards and powered by advanced digital learning tools. Students will gain access to ASU–Cintana’s network of 32 universities across 28 countries, opening pathways for global exchanges, joint projects, and research opportunities.

The initiative also aims to advance Morocco’s national education reform priorities, including digital transformation, employability, and academic excellence. Faculty members will participate in training, research collaborations, and the exchange of global best practices.

UPF President Mohammed Aziz Lahlou said the new institute “brings world-class education directly to Morocco,” equipping students to become the country’s next generation of globally minded leaders.
