Philippines emerges as hub for digital health education in Asia Pacific

The UP-FAHLA Center for Advanced Healthcare Informatics, in collaboration with FUJIFILM Healthcare Asia Pacific, UP Manila and Mahidol University, has completed its first Asia Pacific Healthcare Informatics and PACS Administrator Certification Course. Held in Manila, the programme equipped healthcare and IT professionals with critical skills in digital health and imaging informatics, drawing participants from across the region.

The initiative strengthens the FUJIFILM Asia-Pacific Healthcare Learning Academy network, positioning the Philippines as a growing hub for medical innovation and digital health talent. By aligning academia and industry, the programme reflects a wider shift towards building workforce capacity for an increasingly tech-enabled healthcare system.
