Dublin-based edtech LearnUpon has acquired Berlin-based AI-assisted course creator Courseau, integrating advanced content generation tools into its corporate learning platform. Courseau, founded in 2023, helps businesses such as Panasonic, the Norwegian Refugee Council, and Hexagon Purus rapidly produce workplace learning materials.
The acquisition combines LearnUpon’s delivery system with Courseau’s AI-native authoring, enabling organisations to create learning experiences up to 50 times faster than traditional methods. Courseau’s platform supports text and audio content and allows embedding external videos, with content translatable into over 120 languages. Full integration is expected by early 2026.
LearnUpon aims to address persistent content bottlenecks in corporate learning, offering organisations a more efficient, personalised approach to creating evidence-based training at scale. Brendan Noud, CEO and co-founder of LearnUpon, said the move allows businesses to deliver high-quality learning faster and more cost-effectively.
The combined platform will continue to serve current LearnUpon clients, including Twilio, Netskope, and Children’s Health Ireland, while expanding capabilities for global customers seeking multilingual, AI-assisted learning content. Courseau CEO Ro Ren highlighted that the merger will improve speed, accessibility, and overall quality of corporate education solutions.
AI-generated content has been increasingly adopted in corporate training, with significant investments in platforms such as London-based Synthesia, which recently raised $200m (€174m) at a $4bn (€3.48bn) valuation. While adoption has surged in business-focused learning, AI has disrupted some academic EdTech sectors, as seen with US-based Chegg, which recently cut 45% of its workforce amid reduced traffic from AI-driven content tools.
The LearnUpon-Courseau acquisition positions the Dublin company at the forefront of AI-driven corporate education, offering an integrated solution to accelerate learning content production and enhance training outcomes globally.
