The Indian School of Business in Hyderabad has delivered immersion programmes for senior executives from Melbourne Business School in Australia and Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School in the United States. The India-based institution welcomed more than 75 participants over six days for intensive learning experiences centred on the country's economic landscape and innovation infrastructure.

According to Business News Week, the programmes are structured as credit offerings integrated within the EMBA and SEMBA curricula at both institutions. The immersions combined faculty-led classroom sessions with industry interactions and experiential visits to organisations including Novartis India and T-Hub, Hyderabad's flagship startup incubator.

The programmes enabled participants to gain direct insights into India's consumer markets, healthcare ecosystem and high-growth startup environment. The structured approach allowed executives to apply classroom learning within India's business context while engaging with governance frameworks and entrepreneurial networks.

Professor Himanshu Tambe, clinical professor of strategy at ISB and academic director for the programmes, said: "As India assumes a more central role in the global economy, it is imperative for global leaders to engage deeply with its markets, institutions, and innovation ecosystems. Through these immersion programmes, ISB aims to offer international executives a nuanced, on-the-ground understanding of India while fostering meaningful academic and industry collaboration across borders."

The Johns Hopkins Carey immersion represented one of ISB's first long-duration academic engagements with a US business school. The institution noted that both cohorts brought together senior professionals from diverse industries, enabling cross-border dialogue and exchange of global perspectives.

ISB delivered the programmes through its faculty, building on ongoing collaborations with both partner institutions. The immersions strengthen cross-border linkages between academia and industry across India, Australia and the United States, positioning the institution as a gateway for international engagement with Indian markets.
