Finanz, a Milan-based fintech, has raised €700,000 in an all-equity pre-seed round from prominent investors, including executives from Amazon, Amundi, Rothschild & Co, and Fundsgate. The funding will support the platform’s expansion across Europe, scale its user base, and enhance its product offerings.
Originally launched in Italian schools, Finanz provides a five-minute-a-day guided journey to make investing accessible and understandable. The platform combines technology with practical financial education, addressing the €10 trillion sitting idle in current accounts and helping over 335 million Europeans who currently avoid investing due to limited financial literacy.
CEO Lorenzo Perotta emphasises the platform’s mission to make financial education universally accessible. “We started by bringing financial education into schools, organising over 100 assemblies for students and teachers. Today, we aim to empower millions of Europeans to save and invest confidently,” he said.
Since its launch in November 2024, Finanz has grown with a young team averaging 23 years old. The new investment will allow the company to hire across technology, product, and design roles, expand its reach beyond 100,000 users, and accelerate the development of Finanz API, a B2B solution targeting banks and fintechs.
Finanz’s approach combines user-friendly technology, educational guidance, and market integration, creating a scalable model for financial literacy and investment engagement across Europe. By addressing gaps in knowledge and access, the platform positions itself as a critical tool for both individual investors and corporate partners in the financial sector.
