Earlier this year, Dublin Business School (DBS) was recognised with the Best Library Team award at The Education Awards 2025, celebrating its innovative approach to reimagining library services and enhancing student support across the campus.

More than a traditional library, the DBS Library is a central part of the Academic Support Community (ASC), a collaboration between the Library and the Student Engagement and Success Unit (SESU), designed to deliver holistic academic support to students.

Judges praised DBS for its forward-thinking initiatives, noting the team’s use of data, such as user engagement metrics and resource usage, to tailor services to the evolving needs of the academic community.

“Dublin Business School’s initiative demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to enhancing library services, setting a strong foundation for future development,” the panel noted, commending the measurable impact and vision of the team.

Building on the achievements of DBS, this recognition highlights how creativity, collaboration, and data-driven strategies can transform student support services—continuing a legacy that inspires innovation across Ireland’s education sector.

The Education Awards celebrate excellence across higher education, further education, and training, recognising initiatives that elevate student outcomes, strengthen research impact, and enhance institutional performance.

As the sector looks ahead, institutions can draw inspiration from the achievements of this year’s winners and are encouraged to showcase their own innovative initiatives, with entries for The Education Awards 2026 open until 15 January 2026.
