Coding Ireland, a fast-growing EdTech company founded in 2020 and based in Gorey, Co. Wexford, is redefining how digital skills are taught across Irish classrooms. Designed to make coding, robotics, and AI education accessible, the platform now reaches around one in three schools nationwide.
Built for inclusivity, Coding Ireland’s system runs entirely in the browser, working smoothly on any device—including iPads—without the need for new hardware. This accessibility has been key to its rapid adoption by primary and post-primary schools.
The platform offers ready-to-teach lessons, teacher guides, assessments, and interactive activities that align with Ireland’s education frameworks, from the new Primary STEM specification to Leaving Certificate Computer Science. Teachers benefit from self-paced, CPD-approved training, which reduces preparation time while improving lesson quality and confidence.
Operations Coordinator Dylan Smith said the company’s Wexford base has been an advantage, supported by strong school networks and community engagement. He added that the goal is to make digital teaching easy for every educator, regardless of experience level.
Feedback from schools has been overwhelmingly positive, with many citing better student engagement and smoother curriculum integration. Lessons combine short explanations with hands-on exercises, supported by built-in progress tracking and optional student certificates.
As demand for digital literacy grows, Coding Ireland is positioning itself as a key player in preparing Ireland’s next generation for a technology-driven future. The company offers schools free trials and quick demo sessions to help them get started.
