Bristol Myers Squibb was named the winner of the Best Internship Programme Award at the Education Awards 2025 for its comprehensive and forward-thinking internship initiative earlier this year.
The BMS Intern Programme provides students with a structured experience that combines hands-on work, professional mentorship, and tailored training, offering exposure across multiple business areas.
Judges highlighted the programme’s structured and holistic approach, emphasising its ability to prepare students for the demands of the workplace while fostering professional growth.
“The Bristol Myers Squibb Intern Programme offers students a comprehensive experience that blends hands-on work, mentorship, and professional training. It provides exposure to various business areas, helping participants enhance their skills and knowledge. With the opportunity to apply their education and passion, interns can make a real impact on patient lives while advancing their careers and earning academic credit,” the judges said.
The recognition reflects broader trends within the Education Awards, where winners are increasingly defined by their ability to combine practical learning with measurable impact and sector influence.
Bristol Myers Squibb’s achievement now establishes a standard for innovative higher education programmes as attention turns to the 2026 awards cycle. The question now is: which institutions will define the next wave of master’s education in 2026?
Entries close on 15 January 2026, with finalists to be announced on 12 February 2026. From there, the spotlight will turn to the awards gala on 16 April 2026 at the Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co. Meath, where Ireland’s education leaders will convene to celebrate achievement, innovation, and excellence across higher and further education.
