BMS Cruiserath has been named winner of the Best Internship Programme Award at the Education Awards 2026, recognised for a comprehensive and well-structured internship initiative that develops both technical and soft skills while delivering clear strategic value to the business through its integration with graduate recruitment.
Judges were clear on what distinguished the entry. "This entrant stood out for its comprehensive and well-structured approach, blending development of both technical and soft skills. With clear learning pathways and a focus on both intern growth and strategic recruitment, it demonstrated significant value to the business.”
“The integration of graduate selection into the programme, alongside strong evidential support for its success, makes this a highly effective and engaging initiative," the also panel stated.
The win reflects the standard the Education Awards apply to internship entries, where the strongest submissions demonstrate that a well-designed programme creates lasting value for both the individual and the organisation, backed by clear evidence of impact.
The Best Internship Programme Award recognises organisations delivering best-in-class internship experiences that generate measurable benefits for both employer and student participants, assessed across programme design and objectives, implementation, business and graduate benefits, measurement of success, and excellence in training and development beyond curricular requirements.
The Education Awards 2026 gala took place on 16 April at the Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co. Meath.
Now in its tenth year, the Education Awards recognise and celebrate excellence across Ireland's higher and further education sector, bringing together leading institutions, organisations, and individuals whose work is shaping the future of Irish education.
