Denise McMorrow

Denise McMorrow is Head of Student Experience in IADT and she is the Co-Chair of UNESCO Dublin Learning City. She has over 25 years’ experience in Education, Access, Inclusion and Diversity. She provides leadership in the integration of the student services functions and for the provision of high-quality support systems and wellbeing services for students. She has very extensive communication, people management and relationship building skills and she ensures appropriate working partnerships are in place with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders, which are conducive to effective student support and wellbeing and facilitating lifelong learning and an inclusive environment for all.


The units that come under Student Services include the Access Services, the Career Development Centre, Student Counselling, Disability Services, Learning Development and Assistive Technology. She also supports Students Union Officers. Denise’s passion for and experience in Access, Integration and Diversity have played a key role in her work on Inclusion and collaboration in terms of UNESCO Dublin Learning City.


Denise has worked for over twenty-five years in higher education, including roles as a researcher, tutor, lecturer, careers adviser, placement Co-Ordinator, and Head of the Careers and Student Services in public and private institutions. She has led and Co-Chairs Dublin Learning City for the last five years.


Denise completed a Masters by Research in Business. She has many years’ experience working in Education and Community settings where she always puts the learner at the ‘heart’ of what she does.
